Screen Editor

The screen editor lets game authors create, edit and customize screens that are displayed to the learners.

All screens have the following common properties:

  1. Title: the title of the screen that appears on the mobile screen.
  2. Text Content: the text that you would like to display for the learners
  3. Quote Answer: if you would like to show a text/image/video added by another learner (role), you can add it here.
  4. Media Types: you can select here what kind of media you want to show to the learner (see details below)
  5. Player Input: you can select here what kind of feedback you want to learner to send (see details below)
  6. Preconditions: you can select here which screens need to be completed before showing this screen
  7. Score: the score the player receives when completing the screen.
  8. Ending screen check-box: if set, the game will end when the player reaches this screen.
  9. Screen order: this field defines the order of the screen in the Screen Manager.
  10. Preview : shows how the screen will look like on mobile phones

Media Types

  1. Text: show a simple text message to the user.
  2. Image: shows an image and short text underneath for the mobile user.
  3. Video: shows an video and short text underneath for the mobile user. Game creators can either upload a new video or select an existing one from the list.
  4. 360 Image: shows a 360 VR image and short text underneath for the mobile user. The mobile user can “look around” the scene by moving the phone or using a VR headset.
  5. 360 Video: shows a 360 VR video and short text underneath for the mobile user. The mobile user can “look around” the scene by moving the phone or using a VR headset.

Player Input Types

  1. Complete: users don't need to submit any feedback, just simply click on the Complete button.
  2. Text Feedback: users can send text feedback on an activity.
  3. Image Feedback: users can send image feedback on an activity. They can either send an image from their gallery or take a new photo with the mobile phone camera.
  4. Video Feedback: users can send video feedback on an activity. They can either send an image from their gallery or take a new video with the mobile phone camera.
  5. Choice (Multiple-choice-question): game creators can define a question and multiple choices to select
